Haryana Chief Minister Nayan Singh Saini said on Tuesday that Dr B. R. Ambedkar not only worked for the upliftment of marginalised sections but also strongly supported women’s empowerment and education.
He emphasised that Ambedkar believed education is the key to making women self-reliant. Saini was speaking at a state-level programme in Panchkula on Ambedkar’s birth anniversary.
The Chief Minister added that Ambedkar showed the right path to society during challenging times and said it is our responsibility to preserve his legacy.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, addressing the gathering, said Ambedkar’s contribution went beyond framing the Constitution, as he also guided the movement for social justice, equality, and rights. With Agencies input.
