Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle died at 92 on Sunday after being admitted to a private hospital due to cardiac arrest and pulmonary complications, family sources confirmed.
She was taken to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday evening after suffering from a chest infection and fatigue, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle confirmed.

Asha Bhosle, who married Ganpatrao Bhosle in 1949 at the age of 16 and later wed her collaborator and composer R. D. Burman, is survived by her son Anand and her grandchildren.
“She passed away due to multi-organ failure just a few minutes ago,” said Dr. Pratit Samdani said.
