Voting for the Panchkula Municipal Corporation Elections 2026 will be held on May 10, 2026. A total of 207,379 voters are registered across 20 wards.
The electorate includes 108,927 male voters, 98,447 female voters, and five transgender voters.
Following the scrutiny process, eight candidates are contesting for the mayor’s post, while 115 candidates remain in the race across the 20 wards. In Ward No. 1, there are 5,713 male voters, 4,977 female voters, and 1 voter from another category. Ward No. 2 has 5,658 male and 5,442 female voters, while Ward No. 3 comprises 4,857 male and 4,645 female voters. Ward No. 4 records 5,258 male and 5,215 female voters, and Ward No. 5 includes 5,454 male and 5,421 female voters.
In Ward No. 6, there are 4,359 male and 4,349 female voters. Ward No. 7 has 5,786 male and 4,713 female voters, whereas Ward No. 8 consists of 5,061 male and 3,850 female voters. Ward No. 9 consists of 4,675 male and 4,341 female voters. Ward No. 10 has 5,963 male voters, 4,572 female voters, and 1 voter from another category. Ward No. 11 includes 5,692 male and 5,218 female voters, while Ward No. 12 has 5,930 male and 5,521 female voters. Ward No. 13 records 5,940 male and 5,558 female voters, and Ward No. 14 has 6,197 male and 5,660 female voters. Ward No. 15 includes 4,779 male and 4,023 female voters, while Ward No. 16 has 5,778 male voters, 5,220 female voters, and 3 voters from other categories. Ward No. 17 comprises 6,328 male and 5,829 female voters. Ward No. 18 has 5,610 male and 4,930 female voters, while Ward No. 19 includes 5,012 male and 4,520 female voters. Ward No. 20 records 4,877 male and 4,443 female voters.
A total of 204 polling booths have been set up across all 20 wards for the voting process. Ward No. 1, 2, and 3 have 10 booths each. Ward No. 4 and 5 have 11 booths each, while Ward No. 6 has 9 booths. Ward No. 7 has 11 booths, Ward No. 8 and 9 have 8 booths each, and Ward No. 10 has 10 booths. Ward No. 11, 12, and 13 each have 10 booths, while Ward No. 14 has the highest with 12 booths. Ward No. 15 has 8 booths, Ward No. 16 has 11 booths, Ward No. 17 has 13 booths, Ward No. 18 has 12 booths, Ward No. 19 has 9 booths, and Ward No. 20 has 11 booths.
With the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct in the district on April 13, strict 24-hour checkpoints have been set up at five inter-state borders with Punjab, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh.
Surprise inspections are also being carried out inside the city to stop illegal liquor, weapons, and drugs, ensuring a fair election process. All licensed weapon holders have been directed to deposit their arms, and carrying weapons during the election period is not allowed.
According to Panchkula DCP Srishti Gupta, since the code of conduct came into effect, police have seized 538 grams of heroin, 1.154 kg of hashish, and 180 cartons of illegal liquor. Two country-made pistols and one live cartridge have also been recovered.
Additional police forces will be deployed at checkpoints three days before voting, and strong security arrangements will be in place on polling day.
